Episode 53
Enjoying the Gift of Life Through Syndication and Independent Thought
Ben Kogut is a partner at HJH Investments, specializing in raising capital and investor relations. Ben is also an Austin, Texas-based commercial real estate broker with more than 15 years of experience. His passion is to help investors make wise decisions. Ben studied government and business at the University of Texas and later earned an MBA from the Acton School of Business. He is also CCIM certified.
In this episode, Tyler and Ben’s discussion focused on the idea of choosing to live your best life personally and professionally through real estate syndication. Ben shared his life lessons of not accepting what society says you should or should not be doing, recognizing that fairness instills a victim mentality, and his experience of being indifferent about the outcomes of deals. He also shared the 10 rules of how to enjoy the gift of life, given to him by a rabbi in Israel.
Other topics included pivoting from brokerage to syndication, the three-step process that Ben’s business takes to win deals, identifying asset classes, the deceptiveness of social media, sleep, investing in education and more. Elevate Nation can expect to gain a lot of personal and real estate syndication wisdom in this fun episode!
